Without a doubt, reading is something I genuinely enjoy. I tend to gravitate towards fiction, especially psychological thrillers and historical novels, because they let me escape into a different world while still learning something new. That said, I also read non-fiction from time to time when I want to develop a skill or understand a topic more deeply.

As a rule, I try to read for at least thirty minutes before bed — it helps me unwind and disconnect from screens. I prefer reading in a quiet spot at home, ideally with a cup of tea, though I also manage to get through a few pages during my commute if I have a good book on my phone.

If I had to choose, I would go for a physical book every time. There is something deeply satisfying about holding a real book — the texture of the pages, the smell of the paper — it makes the experience feel more immersive. E-books are convenient for travel, but they just cannot replicate that sense of being truly absorbed in a story.

Yes, definitely. One book that had a lasting impact on me was George Orwell's 1984. It made me think critically about power, propaganda, and the importance of independent thought in a way I had never considered before. After reading it, I became much more aware of how language and media can be used to shape people's perceptions of reality.

To some extent, I think reading long-form books is becoming less common among teenagers, largely because social media and video content compete for their attention so aggressively. However, I would argue that young people are actually reading more than ever — just in different formats, like articles, blogs, and online fiction. The habit is shifting rather than disappearing entirely.
