It is hard to separate the two, yet if I had to choose, I would say diet has a slightly bigger impact on overall health. As the saying goes, you cannot out-exercise a bad diet — what you eat affects your energy, sleep, and even your mental state. That said, regular exercise is essential for heart health and managing stress, so ideally both should work together.

To be perfectly honest, the idea does appeal to me, but I am aware of how demanding that path is. On one hand, professional sport brings fame, travel, and the chance to do what you love for a living. On the other hand, the risk of injury, the intense pressure to perform, and the short career span make it quite a challenging choice.
